Alena ForsterAlena has been engaged in science education for over 30 years in both Victoria and Canberra. She has a Bachelor of Science, Certificate of Shiatsu, and is an Advanced Reiki practitioner. Her allied passionate interest in health, alternative treatment approaches and health education have directed much of both her personal and professional life. She has been associated with East West College since late 2003 as both a student and a trainer. Her approach to teaching is one aimed at creating an interesting and engaging learning environment to assist students from a range of cultural, age and educational backgrounds to prepare well for their new careers in massage and shiatsu. Alena also practices Shiatsu and Reiki from her home clinic in Mt Eliza where she lives with her artist husband Craig, the dog Pumpkin, chooks and vege garden. She has two married daughters who she sees regularly and believes family is everything.
